Re:... imagine it is like a supply and demand thing. The plant is able to control its stomata based on H2O and CO2 concentration. I suspect they work in harmony but this is beyond my understanding :oops: I think one of the other members like Mr. Mistery can give you a more precise answer.

Evolution... slaughter of everything around us. So if I had to choose which organism were the higher life form, I would pick the one that most lives in harmony with itself and its environment, and that's certainly not humanity.
See entire post Bible vs DarwinAstus, if you can convince your brother to read it, Finding Darwin's God by Kenneth Miller is a great book about the subject of harmony between faith and science. I used to have trouble myself seeing the two as compatible, but Miller's book convinced me otherwise.
