Haematic

Of or pertaining to the blood; sanguine; brownish red.

(Science: physiology) haematic acid, a hypothetical acid, supposed to be formed from hemoglobin during its oxidation in the lungs, and to have the power of freeing carbonic acid from the sodium carbonate of the serum.
