Groundnut

(Science: botany) The fruit of the Arachis hypogaea (native country uncertain); the peanut; the earthnut.

a leguminous, twining plant (Apios tuberosa), producing clusters of dark purple flowers and having a root tuberous and pleasant to the taste.

The dwarf ginseng (Aralia trifolia).

a European plant of the genus Bunium (B. Flexuosum) having an edible root of a globular shape aud sweet, aromatic taste.

Synonym: earthnut, earth chestnut, hawknut, and pignut.

groundnut is source of oil in the first place. In the second, proteins are not source of calcium (you meant nitrogen maybe?) I'm not sure, what should palm kernel contain, but probably yes, either bones* or vitamine supplements ...

... that case, are you saying that bone meal should be fed to the bird? If that is your idea, what about the other stuffs like the palmkernal cake and groundnut cake? Don't they contain protien also? Because I know that source of protien is also source of calcium or is that not so?
