Greater palatine nerve

(Science: anatomy, nerve) a branch of the pterygopalatine ganglion that passes downward through the greater palatine canal to supply the mucosa and glands of the hard palate, and the anterior part of the soft palate.

Synonym: nervus palatinus major.
