The hematopoiesis of granulocytes.

Granulopoiesis occurs primarily within the bone marrow. Granulocytes came from lineage of myeloid cells (hematopoietic stem cells).


Word origin: granulo- < granulocyte + Greek poiēsis, creation, from poiein, to make.
