(Science: anatomy, muscle) origin, ramus of pubis near symphysis; insertion, shaft of tibia below medial tuberosity (see pes anserinus); action, adducts thigh, flexes knee, rotates leg medially; nerve supply, obturator.

Synonym: musculus gracilis, gracilis.
