Gold colloid, radioactive

(Science: chemical) a radioactive suspension of minute particles of metallic gold, made by exposure to neutrons. It is used in the pleural cavity to treat lung cancer.

Pharmacological action: antineoplastic agent, radiopharmaceuticals.
