Glycine transamidinase --> glycine amidinotransferase

(Science: enzyme) An enzyme catalyzing the transfer of an amidine group from l-arginine to glycine, forming guanidinoacetate and l-ornithine; an important reaction in creatine synthesis; it can also act on canavanine.

Synonym: glycine transamidinase.
