a deformity marked by medial angulation of the leg in relation to the thigh; an outward bowing of the legs.adduction of the tibia occurs.the longitudinal axis of tibia and femore deviate medially so both foot remain wide apart

Synonym: bandy-leg, bowleg, bow-leg, tibia vara.
