Genotype

1. (Science: genetics) The genetic Constitution of an organism or cell, as distinct from its expressed features or phenotype.

2. (Science: zoology) The genetic Constitution of an individual or taxon. Not to be confused with type species of a genus for which it is sometimes erroneously used.
