I know this thread is out of date but I hope this information will reach others that are facing a similar question. The 4-parameter logistic model equation assumes symmetry around the inflection point whereas the 5-parameter logistic model equation takes into account the asymmetry that is present ...

Hardy Weinberg eqilibrium-HELP

... 1 where q^2 = (1/400) so q = (1/20), therefore p = 1 - (1/20) = (19/20) Which means 2pq = (2)(19/20)(1/20) = (19/200) check this with the original equation: (19/20)^2 + (19/200) + (1/400) = 1 It's been a couple of years since I've done these, but I think that works.

hardy-weinberg HELP

Hello, I am having trouble understanding how to use the hardy-weinberg equilibrium equation. I understand that the allelic frequencies must always add to 100% (i.e. p+q = 1) but I don't understand how to do a few questions. If AA = 0.50, Aa = 0.25 and aa = 0.25, ...

Re: Any SOLID arguments against evolution?

... for the DNA which is a much longer molecule?! Here's another. Evolution is built on billions of years because it has to be. Take it out of the equation and it's over. Im not a nuclear physicist so I'm asking. How much hydrogen would it take for the sun to burn for 4.5 billion years? I know ...
