Animalia... answer the original questions: Humans do not go through alternation of generations. Very few groups of animals do. We do go through blastula & gastrula, but not in the classic "ball" shape (most vertebrate blastulas are really a hollow disc, sitting on a yolk).

Animalia... happens in moss and fern's "metagenesis"... Well I don't think so :? @Amrik: Why do you put "women" in brackets? Blastula and gastrula are common in human, even all animals development :?
