Connection between opioid receptors and fatty acid receptors... fat left in digested food then it may relax intestinal smooth muscles so they wouldn`t push food out yet. If they also reduce release of mucus and gastric acids then intestines may become less slimy and nutrients may pass more easily. Relaxed intestine may also have more area to absorb through. ...

bacterial ETC... more acidic than normal, their rate of growth should increase. Am I right? Since, they'll make more ATP free of cost! Also, bacteria are killed by gastric acidity. Does that have to do with protein denaturation owing to very low pH?
