Gardnerella

(Science: bacteria) a bacterium also known either as gardnerella vaginalis, Haemophilus vaginalis or Corynebacterium vaginalis is a gram-negative organism found in 40% of asymptomatic women and children with no prior sexual contact.

Known to be a common cause for vaginitis.
