Acitve MPF is a kinase that phosphorylates Lamin proteins of the nuclear lamina, and promotes nuclear envelope ... This is not one of my favourite areas of the cell cycle. I wish they'ed just call it Cyclin B/Cdk1. You know MPF isnt even mentioned in the massive textbook Molecular Biology ...
