G actin

G actin --> globular actin

(Science: protein) a short polypeptide Chain of 375 amino acids which is the monomeric unit of the protein actin (one of the two proteins involved in muscle contraction). Many units of g actin join together in a polymer to make an actin filament.

Do we know what the constituent amino acids of myosin and actin are, and the ratios of these amino acids in muscle tissue? Thank you.

Problem with the normalization of PCR Ct values

in my case when I have a gene of interest and the standard gene (usually actin) I divide the calculated conc. in fmol of the gene of interest by the calculated conc. of actin. about the ct values, the higher the value, less copies are there, if you make a standard ...

RT PCR contamination.

... that I have tried that have improved this situation. My supervisor suggest maybe there is contamination of the amplicon I am testing. We use b-actin as a control for a lot of experiments so it is plausible but I find it difficult to believe when in my endpoint PCR I got the negative for that ...

Idea to determine order of assembly of spliceosome

... that you could have false results because of one-case-only binding/non-binding. To explain - imagine you will design probes for intron in gene for actin. Generaly there are five proteins in spliceosome, let's call them S pliceosome P rotein1 - 5, but in actin is not present SP3, but are present ...

Re: Please identify this structure. THX.

BTW, It doesn't co-localize with F-actin and microtubes. It seems look like some kind of vesicles. But these vesicles don't like endosomes, golgi or ER, too.
