(Science: chemical) Alpha-2-furyl-5-nitro-2-furanacrylamide. Used formerly as antimicrobial food additive. It causes mutations in many cell cultures and may be carcinogenic.

Pharmacological action: carcinogens, food preservatives, mutagens.
