Confusion regarding answer to Probability question

... x Z x 1/4] - {[Z x Z x 1/4] x [Z x Z x 1/4]} The part i don't really get is the Probability to get a heterozygote P(Ff). Why is multiplied by two fractions instead of one? ie: why is it (1/2 x 1/2) instead of just 1/2 for say the cross FFxFf.
