Foramen of vena cava --> vena caval foramen

An opening in the right lobe of the central tendon of the diaphragm which transmits the inferior vena cava and branches of the right phrenic nerve.

Synonym: foramen venae cavae, foramen of vena cava, foramen quadratum.
