Folds of iris

Numerous very fine, almost microscopic, radial folds on the posterior surface of the iris that extend around the pupillary margin.

Synonym: plicae iridis.

If a geologist follows and believes uniformintarianism, when he sees thick strata that has huge folds (bends) in it, he would never assume that it was laid wet.
