Flu shots

The flu (influenza) vaccine is recommended for persons at high risk for serious complications from influenza infection, including everyone age 65 or more; people with chronic diseases of the heart, lung or kidneys, diabetes, immunosuppression, or severe forms of anaemia; residents of nursing homes and other chronic-care facilities, children and teenagers receiving long-term aspirin therapy (and who may therefore be at risk for developing Reye syndrome after an influenza virus infection), people in close or frequent contact with anyone at high risk. People with an allergy to eggs should not receive influenza vaccine.

... pain and requiring a second shot to kill it; however, I always try (and usually succeed) to make one-shot kills. However, even if it does take two shots, I do not see how this is any worse than some of the hunting techniques that some predators use to kill their prey. I have actually been thinking ...
