Floating

1. Buoyed upon or in a fluid; a, the floating timbers of a wreck; floating motes in the air.

2. Free or lose from the usual attachment; as, the floating ribs in man and some other animals.

3. Not funded; not fixed, invested, or determined; as, floating capital; a floating debt. Trade was at an end. Floating capital had been withdrawn in great masses from the island.

(Science: medicine) (Macaulay) floating anchor see dock. Floating harbor, a breakwater of cages or booms, anchored and fastened together, and used as a protection to ships riding at anchor to leeward.

(Science: botany) floating heart, threads which span several other threads without being interwoven with them, in a woven fabric.

Insulin signaling

Does insulin floating in the blood signal to the insulin sensitive tissues like muscle and body fat to prepare to absorb glucose OR is it the Islets of Langerhans that give out the signal directly somhow?

Signaling between the ribosome and synthetase

... there a signaling process between the ribosome and Aminoacyl tRNA synthetase indicating a particular need? Or are all varieties of aminoacyl-tRNA floating in the cytoplasm and available for the ribosomes? I hope this is phrased correctly.

Alternative Theories to Evolution

... material available that our current organisms use - water,co2,o2 etc. Even if it did survive that, it would either burn up or fall off and begin floating down our atmosphere(which would take a long long time) only to be burnt up by out UV rays. I don't see how its possible for spores etc to go ...
