You can also try skin (epidermis) of fleshy scales of onion. Easy to get. Just peel off a piece. Place it in a drop of water on the slide. Keep it expanded..i.e make sure it is not folded. Add a couple of drops of salt solution..say 10% potassium ...

... for smell. . Wow this helped a lot to memorize the anatomy classes and remind me also whenever u see a cadever and the skull bones with out any fleshy parts u mainly found the cribriform plate of ethmoid bone totally damaged ... Hope u all the best :)

... your plant. Vitaceae -- Cissus rotundifolia (aka: Arabian Wax Cissus, Peruvian grape ivy) This climber has both tendrils and round, dark-green, fleshy, serrated, alternate leaves. It also secretes sugar droplets. I'm 99% sure this is your plant. I hope this helps. :D

The Fiber Disease
