Faecal occult blood test

(Science: investigation) a chemical test that measures the presence of fresh or decomposed blood.

blood may arise from bleeding anywhere along the gastrointestinal tract, from the mouth to the anus. An easy to perform colourmetric test. Occult means hidden.
