Splashpools during high and low tides

... Would anything have happened that could have changed the salinity of the pool? Here's an idea: When the tide goes down and the pool is exposed, evaporation can occur in the pool. The salt in the pool has nowhere to go, so it becomes more concentrated as the water evaporates. On the other hand, ...

Is this to prevent evaporation of moisture within the leaf? Is that why there are generally more stomata on the lower side of the leaf in terrestrial plants?

As blcr11 said, you end up getting evaporation. The reason why you don't see evaporation happen as fast as say salt/water diffusion is because water has to become a gas in order to mix with air(imagine large liquid water droplets floating ...

Well I guess you just have to develop the answer that was nicely given to you. explaining why evaporation cools, what form the water takes and so on. Those are your homework.
