(Science: chemistry) Pertaining to, or denoting, an acid so called.

(Science: chemistry) euthiochroic acid, a complex derivative of hydroquinone and sulphonic (thionic) acid. So called because it contains sulphur, and forms brilliantly coloured (yellow) salts.

Origin: gr. Well _ sulphur _ colour.
