Erythremia

A form of myeloproliferative disease characterized by an increased blood volume and viscosity due to overproduction of red blood cells as caused by an abnormality of the bone marrow.

Erythremia is a chronic form of polycythemia. It may indicate a neoplastic growth of erythropeoietic tissue.
