measuring action potential outside of neuron

... as others in this forum, well, i want to ask about the measuring of action potential in neuron cell, often we measure the potential membrane by electrode in the intracellular compartment. in normal condition(no transmit impulse) ,potential membrane measured about -70 mV. One day, mo college ...

Re: Running SDS PAGE for the first time!

Thanks JackBean, I read somewhere that when the running solution contains Tris-Tricine, separate electrode buffers need to be implemented; conversely, when Tris-Glycine is used, the buffer solutions may be the same in each electrode reservoir. I am not sure of the logic ...

Re: SDS-PAGE help please

... proteins into smaller peptides. As you wrote, aminoacids can have negative/positive charge, so if you put it into electric field, it will move to electrode with the other charge. For this reason you add SDS, which binds to all proteins in approx. the same ratio and gives unique charge/molecular ...
