Eighth nerve --> vestibulocochlear Nerve

(Science: anatomy, nerve) The vestibulocochlear Nerve is responsible for the sense of hearing and balance (body position sense).

lesions of the eighth nerve can result in deafness, tinnitus, dizziness, vertigo and vomiting.

Synonym: cranial nerve viii.
