Edrophonium

Edrophonium

(Science: chemical) a rapid-onset, short-acting cholinesterase inhibitor used in cardiac arrhythmias and in the diagnosis of myasthenia gravis. It has also been used as an antidote to curare principles.

Pharmacological action: anti-arrhythmia agents, antidotes, cholinesterase inhibitor, parasympathomimetic.
