Dynorphins

(Science: chemical) a class of opioid peptides including dynorphin a, dynorphin b, and smaller fragments of these peptides. Dynorphins prefer kappa-opioid receptors (receptors, opioid, kappa) and have been shown to play a role as central nervous system transmitters.
