Doublets

Doublet

(Science: microscopy) two simple lens elements cemented together, for the purpose of giving spherical and chromatic corrections. An achromatic doublet may be composed of a positive crown-glass lens and a negative flint-glass lens. The errors of one element are made to compensate those of the other element.

Codons are triplets, but what's a Singlet, Doublet, etc?

... the program for any number of letters per codon, but thought I had better ask here in case there is a word that more specifically covers singlets, doublets, triplets, quartets, etc.. Any ideas?

Immunoassay kit 15-deoxy-delta 12,14-Prostaglandin J2

... I want to use it for adipose tissue and I need it to homogenize but in which buffer. I try to do it in PBS but every samples was absolutly wrong (doublets completely bad and result concentration was also bad- to big). But standards and calibration curve were excellent. Thanks a lot for your comment!

In a cilium there are characteristically ___9___ peripheral doublets arranged in a ring around ___?___ single microtubules. (You are only required to enter numerals.) I believe there are 9 peripheral doublets around 2 single microtubules, if that helps. ...
