Any anaemia resulting from a dietary deficiency of materials essential to red blood cell formation, e.g., iron, vitamins (especially folic acid), protein.

Synonym: deficiency anaemia.

... 3:1 ratio? The example I gave you in your takehome quiz used G6PD deficiency, which is X-linked. Sickle cell anaemia isn't.
