Deep

1. Extending far below the surface; of great perpendicular dimension (measured from the surface downward, and distinguished from high, which is measured upward); far to the bottom; having a certain depth; as, a deep sea. The water where the brook is deep. (Shak)

Extending far back from the front or outer part; of great horizontal dimension (measured backward from the front or nearer part, mouth, etc); as, a deep cave or recess or wound; a gallery ten seats deep; a company of soldiers six files deep. Hypothetical question about vampires

... test the way the living forms and their functions are decaying when they move to more hostile conditions on earth, such as extreme temperatures, deep ocean etc. Do they decay as if they where random chemical reactions or in an other way, e.g. self-sustaining organsms?

Would an asteroid simply just pass through Jupiter

... and so would hit like somebody belly-flopping into a swimming pool. Jupiter's massive gravitational pull would also mean that anything that got deep into its atmosphere wouldn't be able to achieve escape velocity and fly out the other side.
