Decrease

to grow less, opposed to increase; to be diminished gradually, in size, degree, number, duration, etc, or in strength, quality, or excellence; as, they days decrease in length from june to december. He must increase, but i must decrease. (john III. 30)

Synonym: to decrease, diminish.

As you decrease the concentration the absorbance decreases and they should both become zero together so the intercept should be zero; that means from Y=mx+c for c=0 you only need Y=mx. For A=ecl, l=1cm and so except for its contribution to the units ...
