Re: Cell and Molecular Revision Question Help!!!

This is what I have.. Consider the Vector (Mass of Vector): pBR328 (4.9 x 103) x 660 = 2.94x106 Daltons Given: Moles = Mass/MW Moles = 50 x 10-9g / 2.94x106 Moles = 17 x10-15 Each vector has two ends therefore x2 = x2 Therefore there are 34 x10-15 moles of ends of vector ...

Virology - Calculations

... has a genome of 1.184 MB (1184 kb) of double stranded DNA. 90.5% is coded into 1262 ORFs. What would be the average size of a coded protein in kiloDaltons? -1184 kb is 1184000 bases times the 660 Da per base pair gives 7.8144x10^8Daltons... Not sure where to go to further this. Somehow, I think ...

Molecules entering the bloodstream from skin absorption

... weight or mass to pass through the skin and enter the bloodstream? I have read that most essential oils molecular weight or mass is less that 500 daltons? One article I read said that 500 daltons was the number for a molecule to pass through the lipid matrix of the dead cells on the surface of ...

Molecular Cell Biology

... molecules get taken up into a single endocytic vesicle (radius, r = 20 nm) when the medium contains 1 mg/ml HRP (molecular weight of HRP = 40 000 daltons). Note: The volume of a sphere = 4/3πr 3 (25 marks)

DNA isolation after digestion with micrococcal nuclease

... produce. any kind of lead on how i could find this information out would be wonderful. c)If the amino acids weight are being measured in daltons i would say that these proteins are small or weigh very little? d) if the two proteins have a molar ratio of 1:1 then they are very similar? ...
