Daisies

Daisy

Origin: oe. Dayesye, as. Daegeseage day's eye, daisy. See day, and eye.

(Science: botany) a genus of low herbs (Bellis), belonging to the family Compositae. The common english and classical daisy is B. Prennis, which has a yellow disk and white or pinkish rays.

The whiteweed (Chrysanthemum Leucanthemum), the plant commonly called daisy in North America; called also oxeye daisy. See whiteweed.

The word daisy is also used for composite plants of other genera, as Erigeron, or fleabane.

... reminds me of the movie "Bruce allmighty". Bruce(who had all god's powers) gave his girlfriend a flower obtained by crossing tulips and daisies. He called the "totadasies" :lol:

hey I'm doing the same coursework as most other people on here, and I found the common plants Dandelions and Daisies quite easy to use.The Daisies were found further away from a river and the Dandelions were found right next to it, so I suppose its fair to say that the dandelions ...
