(1) A positively charged resin used in ion-exchange chromatography for protein purification and separation.

(2) A cellulose derivative that functions as anion exchanger in chromatography and in other industrial applications.


DEAE-C is actually an abbreviated form of diethylaminoethyl-cellulose.

Variant: DEAE-cellulose

Synonym: cellulose, 2-(diethylamino)ethyl ether

HELP: osteoclasts purification

... think Sephadex could do much for resolving whole cells). There are modified Sephadex resins for ion exchange, but those would have names like DEAE-Sephadex, not Sephadex G10. So, I guess I'm skeptical that the method uses the G10 resin to separate cells, but I could be wrong.
