What's the chemical reaction catalysed by nitrate reductase?

... . I assume that in aerobic organisms the chemical reaction would be (NADH + H + 1/2O2) -> (NAD+ + H2O) but how does this work with nitrite reductase in anaerobic respiration?

... the electron transport chain. This proton gradient is used to synthesize ATP using chemiosmosis, and the electrons are eventually passed to NADP+ reductase, which uses the two protons to synthesize 2 NADPH molecules. The NADPH enters the Calvin cycle to reduce CO2 to sugars.
