Yeast that is grown in cultures for specific purposes such as bread making, brewing, research, etc.


Supplement

Yeasts can be grown on solid growth media or in liquid broths. The common culture media used are the potato dextrose agar or broth, yeast peptone dextrose agar, and yeast mould agar or broth.
