1. A painful muscle spasm caused by prolonged tetanic contraction.

2. A localised muscle spasm related to occupational use, qualified according to the occupation of the sufferer; e.g., seamstress's cramp, writers cramp.

are the actin and myosin filiments locked in place during a muscle cramp, if they are is it because there is no ATP and if thats not true, what is causing the muscle to cramp? Thankyou

... etc.) for instance, I can't drink orange juice...! As a kid that's ALL i drank! I love it soo much, but can't tough it because it makes my stomach cramp up, I feel nauseated and I end up with a headache! But, i'm not ALLERGIC .. i'm probably just sensitive to the acid.
