Contagious pustular dermatitis --> orf

a specific disease of sheep and goats, caused by the orf virus. This virus is transmissible to man and characterised by vesiculation and ulceration of the infected site.

Synonym: contagious ecthyma, contagious pustular dermatitis, scabby mouth, soremouth.
