Re: What are methods to promote or suppress gene expression?

... been found effective at doses where the toxicity is not detectable. However, extended clinical trials have not been conducted using peptide-oligo conjugates so toxicity questions remain. An advantage of these techniques over viral-mediated delivery is that, at least for Morpholino-peptide conjugates, ...

Subunit Vaccines

... from the host responding to the microbe). Therefore you can't just put the capsid protein in a needle and inject it. it requires things called conjugates so sometimes subunit vaccines are called conjugate vaccines as well.

Review: PPMO and Vivo-Morpholinos

Conjugation of Morpholino oligos with endosomal escape moieties is bringing effective antisense techniques to rodent research. Such conjugates will likely debut soon as therapeutics. This is an open-access review of two delivery-enabled forms of Morpholinos. Moulton JD, Jiang S. Gene Knockdowns ...
