(Science: anatomy) The last bone of the spinal column, sometimes referred to as man's vestigial tail. The last portion of the vertebral column just below the sacrum.

... The Snake And I would say they do not have a neck - as Fish do not have a neck - Not all chordates have a tail - we are chordates - we do have a coccyx, but we do not call it a tail.
