Re: von willebrands disease?... by deficient or deffective vWF protein... this means platelets are less able to bind to damaged epithelia and so it is harder for the blood to clot... it is a inherited genetic condition... it is not uncommon... Thank you for the info.

bloodIf I remember correctly (and I may not, so it would be wise to confirm this) clinical samples are left to clot at room temperature for something like 20-30 minutes before spinning them down and removing the serum.
