An odd question

Nothing to do a bout being sharp, all about hydrophobic coating of the claws. If they were made in Teflon, the blood would simply slide off without wetting the surface. And claws are usually made of proteins, and they can be hydrophobic, so yes you could imagine ...

Worlds strongest animal-in size

Among vertebrates, the crocodile is a strong contender because of the force of it bite. Overall, I think the claws of some shrimp produce some of the strongest force relative to body size. According to what I saw on the Animal Planet channel, of course. :p

Who is this "they" you speak of? ;) The claws in the picture hardly look big enough to do any damage... maybe they're like spidy's claws for climbing brick buildings?
