Cerebral hemisphere


noun, plural: cerebral hemispheres

A half sphere of the cerebrum marked longitudinally by a median fissure.


The cerebrum is divided by left and right cerebral hemispheres separated by a medial longitudinal fissure. The two hemispheres are linked by corpus callosum and small commissures.
