Cephalexin

Cephalexin

(Science: drug) a semisynthetic cephalosporin antibiotic with antimicrobial activity similar to that of cephaloridine or cephalothin, but somewhat less potent. It is effective against both gram-positive and gram-negative organisms.

Pharmacological action: cephalosporins.

chemical name: 5-Thia-1-azabicyclo(4.2.0)oct-2-ene-2-carboxylic acid, 7-((aminophenylacetyl)amino)-3-methyl-8-oxo-, (6R-(6alpha,7beta(R*)))-

... As you mentioned the first two makes sense and by looking at Wiki I found out that Trimethoprim is abbreviated into W, which just leaves CL being Cephalexin Acid. :) Thanks for the replies.

Stomach bloating and weight gain

Cephalexin cause well be the cause... And before you consider other things I think you should see your doctor about this because it is quite an important issue... Antibiotics do not differenciate between harmful and harmless ...

... this major recurrance of my problematic symptoms to be, is that I have been taking an antibiotic for that last three months, 1500 - 2000 MG of Cephalexin. I am wondering if this screwed up my already sensitive digestive system. Lately I have been trying to keep a record of what might be triggering ...
