when does the centrosome duplicates?

i THINK the centromeres duplicate in S stage and the centrosomes duplicate in G2 after the cdck is produced. But i hated cell, so that might be wrong.

at which stage of the cell cycle does the centrosomes duplicates? read a few journals and they are giving me different answers some state S some state G2 so which is correct?

... of an animal cell it will still divide. Actually, according to Molecular Biology of the Cell a spindle can form with no problems even without centrosomes. It is called a bipolar spindle, and it has provided evidence that chromosomes play an active role in spindle formation...
