Centipede

Centipede

a venomous predatory arthropod of the order Chilopoda, characterised by one pair of legs per leg-bearing segment. The venom is injected through the first pair of leg-like appendages, modified into piercing claws; the bites may be painful and locally necrotic, but seldom are dangerous, except to very young children. Genera found in the U.S. Include Scutigera, Lithobius, Scolopendra, and geophilus.

Origin: L. Centum, hundred, _ pes (ped-), foot

If you just look at the pics of a centipede than various interesting things come up, he is strong enough that he can kill a Scorpio or a small snake through his fang which is upside from his mouth, and they are very strong. A male centipede ...

What kind of insect is this?

As said above it is a house centipede. Most people misidentify it as a silverfish, which is actually a type of beetle.
